Renel Bemaro is a Malagasy wildlife conservationist and zoologist with over ten years of experience in biodiversity research and community-based conservation in Madagascar. As Founder and President of ONG AIDEM, Role: Oversees strategic direction, partnership development, and project approval, he leads field research, habitat assessments, and conservation initiatives focused on threatened wetland and forest species. His work integrates ethical wildlife monitoring, project design, and donor-funded research management. He has coordinated conservation and rural development projects, collaborated with national and international partners, and secured funding from organizations including the Waterbird Society, African Bird Club, and the Van Tienhoven Foundation. He holds a Master's degree in Life and Environmental Sciences (Zoology) from the University of Mahajanga and completed advanced training in agronomy at Stellenbosch University. His research interests include wetland ecology, threatened fauna conservation, and community engagement for sustainable natural resource management
