This component enhances the ability of communities and ecosystems to adapt to climate change impacts such as droughts, floods, and cyclones. It promotes climate-smart practices in agriculture and resource management, including agroforestry, soil conservation, and water management. Ecosystem-based adaptation is prioritized through the restoration of forests, wetlands, and mangroves, which act as natural buffers against climate risks. The project also supports disaster risk reduction through early warning systems, contingency planning, and climate risk mapping. Livelihood diversification and access to climate information services will help communities make informed decisions and reduce vulnerability. Special attention is given to vulnerable groups to ensure inclusive resilience-building. By combining environmental and socio-economic strategies, the project strengthens long-term adaptive capacity.
